Baraga is a small county seat town on Lake Superior's Keweenaw Bay in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. US Highway 41 runs right through town, making it the main route north to the Keweenaw Peninsula or south to Marquette (65 miles). Most visitors arrive via US-41 from Escanaba or take US-2 west from Wisconsin. The Ojibwa Casino Resort, with its distinctive copper-colored exterior, dominates the local skyline and economy.
