Banks is a small Pike County community of about 320 people, located 15 miles northeast of Troy via State Route 87. US Highway 231 provides the main regional connection, linking Troy to Montgomery (50 miles north) and Dothan (40 miles southeast). Troy Municipal Airport sits 15 miles southwest for private aviation access. The town sits along SR 87, which doubles as both the main road and the community's central hub.
