Bangor is a small city of about 1,500 people in western Wisconsin's scenic Coulee Region, 20 miles northeast of La Crosse. Highway 162 connects it directly to Interstate 90, while Highway 16 links it to Sparta and other area communities. The 1917 brick Bangor School building, now a community center, anchors the town's historic character.
