Bancroft is a farming town of about 600 people in northeastern Nebraska, roughly 90 miles northwest of Omaha. Highway 51 runs right through town, connecting to Highway 275 which links Norfolk (25 miles east) and other regional centers. Most visitors arrive via Highway 275 from Norfolk or Omaha, passing through rich farmland along the Elkhorn River valley. The town's towering grain elevator still operates today, serving as both a landmark and symbol of the area's agricultural roots.
