Badin is a small former company town along the Pee Dee River, about 45 miles northeast of Charlotte via Highway 24/27 and Highway 740. Built around aluminum production in the early 1900s, it sits where Badin Lake meets the river in scenic Piedmont country. The town's crown jewel is the historic Badin Inn from the 1920s, featuring original terrazzo floors and period architecture.
