Badger is a tiny farming town of 162 people in eastern South Dakota's Kingsbury County. Located about 50 miles northwest of Brookings via US Highway 14 and State Highway 25, it serves the surrounding agricultural area. The grain elevator complex towers over the prairie landscape and can be spotted from miles away along Highway 25.
