Ayr is a farming community of 14 people in eastern North Dakota's Cass County, about 25 miles west of Fargo via I-94 and County Road 81. The drive takes you through prime agricultural land in the Red River Valley. Most traffic consists of local farmers heading to Fargo for supplies and services. The town's century-old red grain elevator still dominates the prairie horizon.
