Avondale Estates is a small planned community about 10 miles east of downtown Atlanta in DeKalb County. Take I-285 to Memorial Drive or Covington Highway exits, or drive straight out on Ponce de Leon Avenue from the city. The airport is 25 miles away via I-285. This 1920s garden city features original Tudor Revival buildings and a downtown clock tower.
