Avoca is a tiny farming town of 100 people in southwestern Minnesota's Murray County. Take Highway 59 from Slayton (15 miles southwest) or Highway 23 west from Marshall. Most traffic is local agricultural, with limited services for travelers. The classic white grain elevator dominates the prairie horizon for miles around.
