Aviston is a farming town of 2,400 people about 40 miles east of St. Louis in south-central Illinois. Take I-64 east to Exit 34, or use Route 161 for local connections. It's 15 miles from Scott Air Force Base and convenient to St. Louis while keeping that quiet rural feel. The town throws a huge Oktoberfest every fall that celebrates its German heritage with authentic food and beer.
