Aurora is a small Texas town about 30 miles northwest of Fort Worth, reachable via I-35W north then Farm Road 114 west. The community of 1,760 sits in Wise County's rolling countryside, with State Highway 114 as the main route connecting it to Bridgeport and the metroplex. Perot Field/Fort Worth Alliance Airport lies about 15 miles southeast. Aurora claims fame as the site of America's first alleged UFO crash in 1897.
