Augusta is a tiny Missouri River town about 50 miles west of St. Louis, reached via scenic Highway 94 through wine country. Most visitors drive out from the metro area on weekends to tour the historic wineries. The town of under 300 people sits in rolling hills perfect for grapes, and it's actually America's first official wine region, designated back in 1980.
