Audubon is a small farming town in west-central Iowa, about 75 miles from Omaha. Highway 71 runs north-south through town, connecting to I-80 near Atlantic. Most visitors arrive via I-80 then take Highway 71 north, while Highway 141 provides the main east-west route. The town serves as Audubon County's seat, surrounded by corn and soybean fields. Its standout feature is the 1899 red brick courthouse with a distinctive clock tower that's visible for miles across the prairie.
