Auburn is a small farming town in south-central Kentucky, about 90 miles south of Louisville via I-65 and the Western Kentucky Parkway to US Highway 68. The main route through town is US 68, which connects Auburn to Russellville 12 miles east and continues toward Nashville 65 miles south. Most visitors arrive from these larger cities, while locals use the highway for daily trips to Russellville. The town's restored 1920s bank building anchors the historic downtown and houses the local historical society.
