Atwood is a tiny Hughes County community of 84 people in east-central Oklahoma, reached via State Highway 9. The main route from Oklahoma City runs east on I-40 to Henryetta, then south on US-75 to Weleetka, and east on Highway 9 to Atwood. The town operates one of Oklahoma's smallest post offices.
