Atlantic is a farming town of 6,800 in southwestern Iowa, positioned along US Highway 6 between Des Moines and Omaha. Most visitors arrive via Interstate 80 to Highway 148 south, or directly on US 6 from Council Bluffs. The town sits among rolling agricultural plains typical of Iowa's Loess Hills region. Atlantic calls itself Iowa's "Coca-Cola Capital" for its extensive collection of vintage Coke memorabilia displayed in downtown storefronts.
