Atlanta is a small farming community in Hamilton County, about 30 miles northeast of Indianapolis. State Road 19 runs north-south through town, connecting to Cicero and Interstate 465 access in about 25 minutes. Most traffic is local between Hamilton County towns, with longer trips using nearby US 31 or I-465. The town sits along the historic Monon Railroad route that once linked Indianapolis to Chicago.
