Atlanta sits in central Illinois farm country, 30 miles southwest of Lincoln on flat prairie land. Most visitors take I-55 Exit 123 and follow Route 10 west for 8 miles. Route 121 provides north-south access toward Bloomington. The town makes a convenient stop between Chicago and St. Louis, though EV charging is limited.
