Atkins is a small Arkansas River Valley town of 2,900 people along Interstate 40, about 65 miles northwest of Little Rock. Take Exit 84 off I-40 for the main access, with Highway 105 connecting north to Russellville and Highway 247 heading south toward Ouachita National Forest. The town serves as a convenient stop between Little Rock and Fort Smith, and it's known as the "Pickle Capital of Arkansas" thanks to its longtime pickle processing plant.
