This tiny Oklahoma town of 41 people sits 15 miles southeast of McAlester along US Highway 69. Most visitors arrive via US-69 from McAlester or take State Highway 2 for east-west connections. The area's rolling hills and agricultural landscape represent classic southeastern Oklahoma countryside. Despite its small size, Ashland still operates its own post office.
