Asharoken is a tiny village of 800 people on a narrow peninsula in Long Island Sound. Take I-495 east to Exit 53, then Sagtikos Parkway north to Route 25A east through Smithtown, and turn north on Asharoken Avenue. It's about 60-90 minutes from NYC. The village operates one of New York's smallest post offices in a converted house.
