Armada is a farming community in northern Macomb County, about 45 miles northeast of Detroit via I-94 east and M-19 north. The town of 2,000 sits in Michigan's Thumb region, connected by State Route 19 and rural roads through Richmond and Romeo. The annual Armada Fair features one of the Midwest's premier draft horse competitions each August.
