Arma is a small Kansas town of 1,200 people on US Highway 160, about 15 miles west of the Missouri border. The main routes are US 160 running east-west through town, connecting to Pittsburg and Fort Scott, with State Highway 7 providing north-south access. Most traffic is local commuters, though some long-distance travelers use US 160 across southern Kansas. The town's restored early 1900s bank building now serves as city hall and houses historical displays.
