Arlington is a farming town of 920 people in eastern South Dakota, about 50 miles northwest of Sioux Falls via I-29 and Highway 14. The main route runs through Brookings, connecting local farmers to regional markets. It's classic Great Plains country with endless corn fields and big skies. The town's historic grain elevator towers over Highway 14, visible for miles across the flat prairie.
