Arlington is a farming town of about 2,000 people in south-central Minnesota, an hour southwest of Minneapolis via Highway 212 and Highway 5. The main routes are Highway 5 east-west through town and Highway 19 north-south, with most long-distance traffic using Highway 212 through nearby Gaylord for Twin Cities access. The town's claim to fame is its giant Green Giant water tower, painted like the vegetable mascot and visible across the prairie for miles.
