Arapahoe is a tiny riverfront community in Pamlico County, about 20 miles east of New Bern via US 70. The town sits where the Neuse River widens toward Pamlico Sound, surrounded by marshes and pine forests typical of North Carolina's Inner Banks. Most visitors pass through heading to the Crystal Coast beaches or come specifically for the charter boat fleet that's operated fishing and hunting guides for generations.
