Appleton anchors Wisconsin's Fox Cities region along the Fox River, about 100 miles northwest of Milwaukee via Interstate 41. The city connects to Green Bay on I-41 north and Stevens Point via US Highway 10 west. Appleton International Airport sits five miles west of downtown on College Avenue. The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center features one of the country's few remaining theater pipe organs still played in its original 1930s venue.
