Antimony is a tiny desert town of 65 people along scenic Highway 12 in southern Utah, sitting at 6,400 feet between Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef national parks. Most visitors pass through on the popular parks loop via SR-12, accessing from Panguitch (35 miles) or Escalante (45 miles). The town was named after antimony ore deposits discovered in nearby hills during early 1900s mining efforts.
