Anthony straddles the Texas-New Mexico border along I-10, about 20 miles northwest of El Paso. This desert community sits at 3,800 feet elevation and serves as a natural stopping point for interstate travelers. The town connects via I-10 to Las Cruces (15 miles west) and El Paso, with Highway 478 providing local access to Fort Bliss. Anthony is actually two separate cities sharing one name, split by the state line.
