Annapolis is a small Ozark Mountain town of 427 people in Iron County, Missouri, reached primarily via State Route 21. Most visitors arrive from Ironton to the north or continue south toward Arkansas on the same highway. The town sits among heavily forested hills typical of southeastern Missouri's rugged terrain. The historic Iron County Courthouse, built in 1890 with distinctive red brick architecture, still functions as the county seat.
