Anguilla is a small Delta town of 654 people in Sharkey County, surrounded by cotton fields and rich farmland. Highway 61 runs north-south through town, connecting to Greenville (25 miles) and Clarksdale (40 miles), while Route 436 heads east to Rolling Fork. The nearest major airport is Jackson, about 90 miles southeast. The town sits on some of America's most fertile soil, where ancient Mississippi River floods created farmland that still produces exceptional cotton yields.
