Angier is a small Harnett County town about 25 miles south of Raleigh via US 401. The main route from the Triangle follows I-40 west to the US 401 exit, then heads south through rolling Piedmont countryside. State Route 210 cuts east-west through town. Many locals commute north to Raleigh, while visitors often arrive from I-95 near Dunn. The Norfolk Southern freight line still runs right through downtown, occasionally stopping traffic on Main Street.
