Amity is a tiny farming community in northwest Missouri's DeKalb County, about 60 miles from Kansas City. Most visitors drive from Cameron via Highway 6 west, then turn north on County Road H. The rolling prairie landscape supports corn and soybean farms, with rich soil and a continental climate of hot summers and cold winters. The 1887 post office doubles as the town's social hub where all 72 residents eventually cross paths.
