Almyra is a tiny farming town in the Arkansas Delta, about 45 miles southeast of Little Rock via Highway 165. The main route goes through England on Highway 165 south from I-440. This rice-growing community of 146 people sits in flat bottomland that floods when the Arkansas River rises, surrounded by grain elevators that dominate the horizon.
