Allport is a tiny farming town of about 100 people in Arkansas's rice country. Take I-40 east from Little Rock for 45 miles, then Highway 13 south for 15 miles. The area sits in classic Delta farmland with a humid subtropical climate. Stuttgart Municipal Airport is 20 miles southeast. During growing season, the surrounding rice fields are flooded, creating an almost lake-like landscape that stretches for miles.
