Alliance is a small town of 700 people in eastern North Carolina's Pamlico County, reachable via US Highway 17 which runs north-south through the community. Most visitors arrive from Washington (20 miles north) or travel the scenic coastal route as an alternative to I-95. The town is notable for hosting Coastal Carolina Regional Airport, an unusual feature for such a small rural community.
