Allgood is a small community of about 760 people in Alabama's Blount County, roughly 35 miles northeast of Birmingham. Take I-65 north to Exit 284, then Highway 79 northeast through scenic hill country. The town sits where the Appalachian foothills begin their rise, offering a quiet rural setting with mild winters and warm summers. The original Allgood Store from the 1880s still stands downtown.
