Algood is a small Tennessee city of about 4,000 people located 10 miles east of Cookeville on Interstate 40. Highway 70 connects it directly to Cookeville and Tennessee Tech, while State Route 111 runs north to Sparta. The town sits in the rolling Upper Cumberland hills with a restored 1930s railroad depot serving as its downtown centerpiece.
