Alger is a small farming town in rural Ohio, about 15 miles southeast of Lima via State Route 309. Most visitors arrive from Lima on US-30 east to SR-309 south, while Columbus drivers take US-23 northwest to SR-309. The town of 700 sits among rolling farmland typical of west-central Ohio. Its most recognizable landmark is a towering 1920s grain elevator that still serves local farmers today.
