Alexis is a small farming town in west-central Illinois, about 15 miles from the Quad Cities. Take US Highway 34 through town, which connects to Interstate 74 near Monmouth for longer trips. Most visitors drive US 67 south from the Quad Cities area, a 20-mile route through corn and soybean country. The town features a preserved one-room schoolhouse from the 1800s.
