Albion is Orleans County's seat, sitting along the historic Erie Canal about 30 miles northeast of Buffalo. Route 98 connects downtown to I-90 near Batavia, while Route 31 follows the old canal east-west through town. The 1858 sandstone courthouse with its prominent clock tower has been keeping time in the town square for over 160 years.
