Albany is Clinton County's seat in south-central Kentucky, population about 1,900. US 127 runs right through town north-south, connecting to Glasgow and Tennessee, while Route 90 heads east to Somerset and west to Lake Cumberland. Most visitors use Route 90 east to reach the Cumberland Parkway for longer trips. The 1879 brick courthouse with its distinctive Second Empire tower is one of Kentucky's most photographed county buildings.
