Alamo is a small county seat in West Tennessee farm country, about 80 miles northeast of Memphis via US 412. The town of 2,300 sits where several rural highways meet, with most traffic coming through Jackson 25 miles east or Dyersburg to the northwest. The 1922 courthouse with its working clock tower dominates the historic downtown square.
