Airport is a tiny Central Valley community of about 900 people in Stanislaus County, named for the nearby Modesto airport. Reach it via Crows Landing Road from Highway 99 south of Modesto, about a 10-mile drive west. The area sees agricultural traffic and summer temperatures over 100°F. Despite its name, Airport doesn't have its own airport but gets regular small aircraft flyovers from neighboring Modesto City Co-Harry Sham Field.
