Agar is a tiny farming town of 81 people in central South Dakota's rolling prairie country. Take Highway 1806 north from US 14 near Onida, about 45 miles northwest of Pierre. Most visitors arrive via Interstate 90 and the state capital. The 1910 post office still serves as the community's informal social hub.
