Advance is a tiny farming community in Boone County, about 30 miles northwest of Indianapolis via I-65 and State Road 32. With just 390 residents, it's surrounded by corn and soybean fields typical of central Indiana. Most visitors pass through on State Road 32 or are heading to nearby Lebanon. The town still follows the original 1880s railroad grid layout from when the Monon Railroad first brought settlers here.
