Admire is a tiny farming town in east-central Kansas, located on US Highway 56 about 30 miles southwest of Emporia. Most visitors pass through on US 56, which follows the historic Santa Fe Trail route across the state. The town sits in rolling prairie country typical of the Flint Hills region. Admire was named after Jacob Admire, a Civil War veteran who became Kansas's adjutant general.
