Adel is a small Georgia city along I-75, about halfway between Macon and Valdosta. Take Exit 39 to reach downtown via US 41, the main commercial strip. It's the Cook County seat surrounded by pine forests and farmland in south-central Georgia's humid subtropical climate. The city hosts the annual Georgia Mayhaw Festival, celebrating a native swampland fruit used for making jelly.
