Addis is a small river town of 7,200 people on the west bank of the Mississippi, just across from Baton Rouge via I-10 or the historic Huey P. Long Bridge on US 190. Highway 1 runs north-south through town connecting to other river parishes. It's a quick 10-15 minute drive to Louisiana's capital, making it popular with commuters who prefer small-town life. The massive steel towers of the Huey P. Long Bridge dominate the skyline, rising 376 feet above the river.
