Addieville is a tiny farming community in southern Illinois, about an hour southeast of St. Louis via I-64 and Route 15. The town of under 300 people sits along the main east-west corridor connecting Nashville and Mount Vernon. Named after an early 1900s coal mine, it's one of the few Illinois towns with such a distinctive moniker.
